Billing software vs vet software

Marg or Vyapar for a vet clinic? Here's what's missing

Billing software is built for shops: items, bills and ledgers. A vet clinic also needs the pet: its history, its vaccinations, and the reminder that brings it back.

Why it matters

Most of a clinic's revenue comes back on its own, if someone reminds the pet parent

Vaccines, deworming and follow-ups are repeat visits. Billing software records the sale but not what the pet needs next, so the reminder depends on someone's memory. Koko keeps the due dates on the pet and sends the WhatsApp reminder itself.

Keep the strengths you rely on: GST bills, batch-wise stock with expiry and MRP. Koko does both, on the same record as the pet.

FAQ

Billing software vs Koko: common questions

Can a vet clinic run on Marg or Vyapar?
For billing and stock, yes. But they don't keep pets, visit history or vaccination due dates, so reminders and medical records need a separate system or a register.
Can we move our Marg data to Koko?
Yes. We bring across customers and phone numbers, products with batch, expiry and MRP, and suppliers, as part of onboarding.
Do we lose our stock when we switch?
No. Products and batches come across from Marg, and we can set up opening stock from a shelf count.
Does Koko replace our accounting software?
No. Koko handles the clinic: pets, visits, bills and stock. Your accountant keeps the books, using Koko's reports.
How is Koko priced?
Monthly or annual plans for the whole clinic, with every staff member and device included. We share plan prices on the demo.
